Our team had a fantastic time at the 2024 LA Maker Faire, which thousands of people attended! We showcased both FLL and FTC at our booth, offering interactive games and activities for children to learn effectively. Due to the heat, our FTC robot’s batteries began to overheat rapidly. Fortunately, we managed to prevent any issues, and the robot ran smoothly throughout the 9 hour event.
Many children visited our booth with curiosity and left with all the information they needed. We interacted with other exhibitors and learned from them, including Girls in STEM Club, SpaceX, NASA, SOLA Robotics, PCC Chemistry lab, CalTech, Rolling Robotics, and much more. We also found several possible mentors within the exhibits. We promoted FIRST to parents, who hoped to introduce robotics to their children. Thanks to the City of Stem for organizing this great event, and we hope to be back next year!
