We had a great time learning at Caltech and what they were experimenting on the detection of gravitational events. The team we talked with discovered a black hole and months later received the Nobel Prize about these black holes. The professors we talked to, Professor Rana Adhikari and Professor Yan Bei Chen, gave us advice on how to be successful in college application and about the qualities that you should have to be a successful scientist.. Not only that, they also told us with that curiosity, we have to stand out from others and that it’s ok to be a little wild and do things your own way. This makes you stand out to others, and increases your academic knowledge. The professors also used simple language which almost anyone could understand. Thanks to both Professor Rana Adhikari and Professor Yan Bei Chen, we had the opportunity to learn a lot about what they do as their job, and how we can be successful in our futures.
